MANAIA (MESSENGER TO THE SPIRIT WORLDS)

The manaia is one of the oldest symbols, you would normally see it carved on the point in front of Polynesian canoes as the guardian of your path. The word mana means different things power, strength, and/or energy. The manaia is an ancient mythical being with a pueo’s (owl) head, a mo’os (lizard) body, with a tail of the kohola (whale) they are part of our Aumakua (ancestors).
